The Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium is a multi-phase renovation and expansion of the existing Aquarium facility, revitalizing this iconic New Orleans landmark and community resource. This unique project merges the two exhibits with selective structural demolition and new curtainwall systems. The Audubon Aquarium and Insectarium houses over 490 species and 8,506 animals. Broadmoor navigated installation for complex and unique exhibitry scopes without impacting animal life for all species: insects/butterflies, fish, mammals, and birds.

Our guests are engaged in nature from the moment they arrive and throughout their visit. As we share our love of nature with our guests, they will also experience the glorious New Orleans riverfront like never before.
Ron Forman, 2023
The project’s vision and completion represent commitment and collaboration at its finest, using creativity, storytelling and exploration to transmit nature’s wonder and wow to its community.
Peter Sollogub, 2023
Having the two popular attractions in one location will provide guests with a one-of-a-kind opportunity as it is the only facility in the world to house both an aquarium and an insectarium under the same roof.
Melissa Lee, 2023
The Aquarium and Insectarium are truly two of the crowning jewels of our city.
Mayor LaToya Cantrell, 2023
