Hilton's Queen of New Orleans Land Side Facilities
|
As part of the Hilton Queen of New Orleans Gaming Vessel
project, a waiting area and ticketing facility was designed within the Hilton
Riverside hotel. The queuing area was
designed as a transition between the contemporary style of the hotel and the 19th
Century style of the boarding structure and vessel. Mahogany columns and patterned carpet were
used to create a 6,500 square foot space melding the two styles. Eleven service windows behind the mahogany
face panels, polished Black Andes granite counter tops and ornate verdigris
metal "teller screens” disguise the latest in computerized reservation and
ticketing systems.
