Base supply operations were given a major overhaul since its
design in the 1950ís at Fort Polk Joint Readiness Training Center. Broadmoor
was selected to design and build the Consolidated Supply Facility for the
United States Army. This project provided a 160,000 square foot centralized
warehouse as well as administrative and retail spaces to support this major
U.S. Army installation.
The project required the demolition of 22 existing
buildings. This World War II military base consisted of scattered existing
warehouses and inefficient storage facilities. Broadmoor updated the supply
operations with an innovative inventory ad material handling system which Fort
Polk had poised for the 21st Century.
