Broadmoor LLC

Jeffrey Taylor Appointed Broadmoor's New Safety Director - Thursday, February 20, 2014

Jeffrey Taylor has recently been hired as Safety Director at Broadmoor, LLC.

Taylor, 44, of Baton Rouge, is responsible for assuring safe operations are conducted at Broadmoor and on the company’s job sites. This includes developing and implementing policy, all reporting requirements, maintaining records and supervising the Safety division.

Prior to joining Broadmoor, Taylor was the Safety Manager with Boh Bros Construction Company of New Orleans, the parent company of Broadmoor, for more than two years.

Before joining that company, he served as a U.S. Navy "Seabee” Chief with tours of duty all over the world, including during Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom 1, Operation Iraqi Freedom 2, and in Afghanistan. He retired from the service in 2011 and earned an AA in Construction Technology and is completing his Bachelor of Science in Safety. Taylor is also certified as an OSHA trainer.

"Jeffrey will enhance our work environment for both our staff and our clients because a safe work site is of critical importance to each of us,” Broadmoor’s President John Stewart said in making the announcement.

Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Metairie, Broadmoor, LLC is one of Louisiana’s largest commercial contractors, and a leading design-build firm. In the last four years, the company has had no more than two recordable cases on its safety track record – a feat matched by very few construction organizations around the country.

This new hire will grow the organization’s safety performance even further, given Taylor’s reputation for success and attention to health and safety details. We are excited to have him as a part of our team and look forward to continuing our long-time focus on the importance of health and safety on each of our project sites.
